Nuchal Cords

birthculture:

A great blog post from a midwife about nuchal cords (or a cord around the neck). This event occurs in about a third of births, and this post explains why it’s not the disaster or emergency it seems to be to most. Most people have heard of birth stories where the baby “nearly died” because of a cord around the neck, when really, the baby was in no danger at all.
