Exactly! Also, I am not against piercing, but I do believe in waiting until the child is old enough to choose, because I actually wish my ears weren’t pierced.^
That’s why I am not generally against piercing, as long as it is done professionally.
If we started cutting baby girls’ earlobes off though, because they are essentially useless pieces of skin and can get infected, people would be throwing a fit.
