crazy-baby-love:

Why do all you Americans freak out if you’re ‘not dilated’ it doesn’t mean shit. Nothing at all! You can walk around for weeks dilated 4cms or you could be like me and be ‘closed shut, not effaced at all’ the day before you go into labour.

Your body will work. Have faith in…

I was one week overdue and went from 2cm dilated to holding a >9lb baby within 4 hours.
No cuts, no stiches, just one minor tear, because I listened to my body.

my midwives didn’t ever check my cervix until I was in labour and checked into the hospital. And i didn’t go into labour until 5 days past my due date, the first time. I don’t get why they can’t just see how you go before sticking their hands in your vaginas!
